Before implementing AxxonSoft technology, ENEL already had a VMS system in place. However, it lacked the analytical intelligence needed to address several critical challenges related to oil and gas security systems:

AI-Powered Solution for Scalable Oil and Gas Security Systems
To address these challenges, Click Solutions and AxxonSoft conducted a proof of concept (PoC) using the Axxon One platform — an advanced AI analytics solution trusted in oil and gas security systems worldwide. The tests included real-life simulations, such as controlled fire and smoke scenarios, to verify the reliability of AxxonSoft’s analytics. The system successfully detected incidents in real time and demonstrated the required accuracy for deployment at production sites.
Following the successful PoC, ENEL implemented Axxon One across its 12 facilities, integrating 255 Hanwha cameras into a single platform. The new system provided advanced analytics while maintaining simple operation and scalability. No third-party systems were required for integration — all analytics were implemented within Axxon One, creating a seamless oil and gas solution optimized for AI-based monitoring and automation.
Implemented Analytics and Their Impact
Each of ENEL’s original challenges was directly addressed through the deployment of Axxon One’s intelligent video analytics.
To improve fire prevention, fire and smoke detection was implemented, allowing the system to identify potential incidents at an early stage and trigger alerts before damage could occur.
For environmental and process control, Axxon One provides water-level and object-on-water detection. These functions help operators monitor reservoirs and water surfaces continuously, ensuring stable operation and preventing overflow or contamination risks.
To secure restricted areas, the system uses AI-based perimeter protection. Enhanced oil and gas security systems automatically detect intrusions and distinguish real threats from irrelevant motion or environmental noise, reducing false alarms and operator fatigue.
Additionally, ENEL enhanced access control across its production sites with LPR License Plate Recognition and Face Recognition modules. These tools automate the identification of authorized vehicles and personnel, improving both security and operational efficiency. All analytics were tested under real conditions during the proof of concept and successfully validated by ENEL’s operational team, confirming the system’s accuracy and reliability.
Results — Improved Efficiency Through Intelligent Oil And Gas Solutions
After deployment, ENEL achieved a significant reduction in incident response times and improved situational awareness across all monitored sites. Axxon One’s proactive alerts and real-time AI detection enabled the operations team to act before incidents escalated, ensuring safer and more efficient energy production processes. These results position ENEL as a pioneer in using AI and Analytics–driven oil and gas solutions to secure and optimize energy infrastructure in Chile.
Expanding AI and Analytics for Advanced Oil and Gas Security Systems
